The Banking Association expressed its rejection of the repression in the Congress area during the mobilization of retirees on Wednesdays, demanding the release of a union member and his brother detained by the police at the end of the march.

According to a statement from the Buenos Aires branch of the union led by Sergio Palazzo, yesterday after the conclusion of the 'Federal Retiree Rally', Guillermo Berrozpe, a bank employee, and his brother Gabriel were repressed, beaten, and detained.

Both were arrested while supporting the call of the Multisectoral in Defense of Social Security in the Congress square, at the intersection of Rivadavia and Entre Ríos avenues. The Banking Association demanded the immediate release of the Berrozpe brothers, labeling the events that occurred as illegal and abusive.

"The events of yesterday by the Security forces are illegal and abusive, making National Security Minister Patricia Bullrich the sole responsible party," expressed Alejandra Estoup, general secretary of the Buenos Aires branch of La Bancaria.
